Beauty Shop is a bag from 2021 that was inspired by the photo "Red Cloud Woman in Beauty Shop" from the book Indians in Unexpected Places. This was the first bag I painted with Acrylic and is paired with another handbag titled Invasion. Both pieces are a pop surrealist depiction of Colonization and first contact through the lens of an alien invasion.
